New update: V3.5

Welcome to my third Devlog. I've gotten quite a lot to cover in today's update.

In the past week, I've worked to address quite a few issues that were mentioned. Most notably and probably the most frustrating one was a lack of ammo during the waves. I've made another set of changes to the weighted system of the powerups and should be much better. I've also implemented destroyable meteors that have a chance to drop selected powerups and most notably is ammo and missiles.

I've also made adjustments to the fire rate as I found it was hard to shoot a shielded enemy because the cooldown was too long.

I then did some work on the player's homing missile to be able to do splash damage if you shoot an enemy close to another one. I might need to make future adjustments but for now, I'm happy.

When you use the thruster boost (shift), I got feedback that the bar goes down while holding shift and the player isn't moving. I've refactored the boosting system to consider movement and now the thruster bar doesn't deplete if the shift key is held but the ship isn't moving. I'm quite happy how that turned out.

I received feedback that it was hard to differentiate between the powerups and didn't know what powerups did, so I've added text above each powerup to say what they are. I've also created a loading screen that would show random tooltips with some information on the powerups. The loading screen is currently very basic and will redesign it once I know exactly how I want it to look and function. Although this game is small and doesn't have many levels to load.

There were some inconsistencies in the pause menu while in-game where you can press Esc to pause the game but can't press it again to resume. Another bug that crept up was that if you're in a sub-menu and press the Esc key, there's a new pause screen on top of the existing screen. I've redesigned that system and can now press Esc to exit out of submenus and resume the game.

The very last thing I worked on in this update which was quite a big one that took quite a few days to fully get working and get *hopefully* all of the bugs flushed out is a tutorial screen. This tutorial will first guide you through the UI elements and quickly explain what they do and the abilities or weapons tied to those elements in an easy to digest tooltip form. Once you've read the tooltips you'll go through an interactive tutorial explaining the movement, weapons and abilities.

I hope you guys will appreciate the hard work I put into this update.

Edit: I've added a MacOS build as well. You require a mac with macOS 10.13 or later to play.
